For the strategic project of the new EHQ (ZSE) headquarters and the associated Éclair residential building from the portfolio of developer Immocap, we developed a comprehensive energy concept focused on administrative facilities and urban housing. Our goal was to design technological solutions that accurately reflect the specific functional requirements of both buildings.
With regard to the guaranteed operational parameters of the project, we processed extremely detailed energy models with an hourly time step, which exactly simulated the annual consumption balance and optimized future operating costs. Particular emphasis was placed on the overall ecological footprint, where we closely monitored and evaluated both the embedded carbon (life cycle of materials LCA) and the operational carbon of the entire infrastructure.
We expanded the comprehensive assessment of the buildings to include an analysis of the external environment and microclimate: we developed a wind study for the entire site and in selected key areas we implemented advanced CFD simulations to verify and guarantee top-notch thermal comfort for future users. We completed our role on the project by performing authorial supervision of the project activities, ensuring the investor a smooth transition from engineering simulations to real operation and precise adherence to carbon footprint and sustainability goals.
